Kimono Jacket!

On Saturday I visited the Fabric shop and got quarters or this and halves of that and ended up spending a mere £26 (I wanted to spend about £40 on a good stock of materials) But I was very happy with the fabric I did get.

The main fabric that I got was a pink and purple flowery viscose, I needed 1.5metres to make a kimono jacket that I'd seen in the latest issue (number 5) of Love Sewing Magazine. The fabric is gorgeous with such a silly smooth feel to i, known as 'Sheety' in my house - long story - It was £4.60 a metre and is just lovely.

My Kimono Jacket

I am so totally in love with this and how well I sewed it and how brilliant it has turned out! Ive sewn a few items of clothing in the past but its mainly been summer dresses and summer skirts so this to me was my first proper piece of clothing from a patter, that I actually don't mind wearing haha. It looks very neat and tidy and I think I've done an awesome job
